EMEA Business Development Manager – Finance

Job Summary

An experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager is sought to expand sales of AI Foundry solutions into new business opportunities in the financial sector. The successful candidate will seek out and acquire new accounts in support of annual business objectives, and develop and execute sales plans. The BDM will have the support of Marketing, Inside Sales and technical sales resources to generate leads and progress sales. Though the role is primarily direct and for a new business hunter, there may be a need to occasionally manage channel partners who have business in the financial sector.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue and pipeline targets
  • Manage internal and external resources to close business
  • Use Salesforce to manage pipeline
  • Provide input to internal departments regarding market needs and trends
  • Participate in trade shows and other events


Skills and/or Knowledge Specifications

  • Minimum of seven years of successful direct sales experience, mainly in the financial sector
  • Expertise in solutions and services sales using a consultative sales approach in order to deeply understand and discover customer needs and devise solutions for them
  • Demonstrate a track record in achieving quota, sales growth and the ability to close deals, especially enterprise-class deals in the £250k to £2M range
  • New business hunter
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present with all levels of management.
  • Team player – no lone wolf
  • Should have sense of ownership and accountability


Eduation and/or Experience Specifications

  • University graduate
  • Experience in BPM, ECM and/or document management sales
  • Trained in a selling methodology, such as TAS, Miller-Heiman or the like
  • Another European language, especially French, German or Spanish
